Charles Paddock Zoo

DISCOVER OVER 100 ANIMALS IN FIVE PARK-LIKE ACRES. OBSERVE THEM UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL IN NATURALISTIC HABITATS.

Set in beautiful Atascadero Lake Park, the Zoo is the perfect place to stop while visiting the Central Coast. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2003, the Charles Paddock Zoo is the home of rare Indo-Chinese Tigers, Spider Monkeys, Meerkats, and many more unique species. The Zoo is proud to be "Your Central Coast Conservation Center" committed to wildlife conservation, education, and research.

Visit with the animals, enjoy a picnic, or shop for unique souvenir's in the Zoovenier Shop. Wine festival's, Ice Cream Zoofari's, camps, tours, puppet shows, crafts, Halloween Zoo Boo's, and "Zooper" hosted birthday parties, there's always something to do at the Zoo.

Support "Your Central Coast Conservation Center" by becoming a member of the Zoological Society of San Luis Obispo County. Members receive many benefits including free and discounted admission to the Zoo and over 150 other Zoos and Aquariums in North America. Event and Zoovenier disounts, special "members only" events, exhibit openings, and free issues of Zoologic, the society's quarterly newsletter.
